Xiaomi Mi Scooter 2 - Xiaomi Czech

When folks from Xiaomi Czech asked me if I don’t want to test their Mi Scooter, I was pretty excited as I’m a big fan of electric vehicles.

This electric scooter does look great, it’s sleek with and the materials are great to touch. Well manufactured and just four allen (hex) screws away from hoping on right from the box. It was almost fully charged when arrived, so I went for a test ride. It’s not heavy nor very light, it’s about 12kg of weigh and its not hard to move around when folded.

iOS app is not the best one and offer some basic info like speed, battery level and mileage. It’s annoying that it need to pair on every start, however even when not paired, mileage info is synced on the next connection.

I have the white model and it does look awesome with almost Apple feel and a lot of heads turned my way when I was out. 250W engine is powerful enough to get around 25km/h of max speed and you should be able to ride for about 30km from a single charge. Most of my trips were around 5-7km so I’ve never reached bellow 40% of the battery on one day. Battery charger is small and easy to drop to bag and carry around if needed.

It’s a great commuter and it’s a big fun too. Can’t wait for spring to get on the road again.
